CHEP is one of the world’s leading pallet, container and pooling services companies. As part of the Brambles conglomerate, they operate warehouse facilities across the globe where they pool and service pallets and containers for customers.

Problem

CHEP was looking for a cost-effective way to target and communicate with all staff, both salaried and hourly paid staff effectively and engagingly. Most hourly paid staff didn’t have or use company email and rarely paid attention to paper bulletin boards for announcements and important messaging. They were looking for a way to connect thousands of staff across 7 countries, with multiple offices and warehouses through a centralized digital communications system.

Solution and Results

L Squared provided a cost-effective cloud-based Digital Signage solution that would allow CHEP to coordinate unified messaging through every company department to all its staff in real time. The easy-to-use software allowed CHEP to create display boards that reflected the look and feel of the brand. The L Squared coordinated solution provided the project management, procurement, installation, software, set and maintenance to ensure the program is a long-running success.

Within the first week the system was deployed, a recent sales success story was posted on the Digital Signage system that instantly improved the morale and connectedness of all staff across multiple geographies. The IT director in charge of the project personally received calls to congratulate him on a well-executed project. Today, CHEP provides and promotes consistent company-wide messaging globally that targets Health and Safety, Marketing Communications, Union News, Birthdays, Holidays, Overtime Updates, Performance targets, Employee Recognition and much more.
