    About the client

    Dollar General is an American chain variety store with 18,774 stores across the United States and Mexico. It has multiple warehouses and supply chain centres to supply its stores with retail goods. The brand makes it easy for customers to shop for everyday needs by offering low prices on popular brands.

    The problem

    Their daily operations involve many data points and updates that need to be relayed in real-time. Because of the dynamic nature of this information, traditional signage like posters and pamphlets is not an option — not to mention the cost of printing and logistical issues.

    So, how can Dollar General get this information from the back end to workers on the floor?

    Solution by L Squared 

    This is where L Squared comes in.

    Using Samsung’s LCD screens, powered by L Squared’s digital signage software, Dollar General created a robust communication system. The cloud-based content management system (CMS), the L Squared Hub, makes it easy to share and manage content on any screen of the display network.

    • Share critical updates with staff in real-time 
    • Streamline shipping and delivery processes
    • Train and engage employees using the same displays 

    Growth trajectory 

    In addition to the $1.5M in annual recurring software license revenue, this solution is expected to grow over the next several years to generate over $7.5M in hardware and services.
